Intermediate Division

Levels 2–5 | Ages 8–13

Curriculum Focus

Positioning for formal classical study, our Intermediate Training Division bridges the transition from primary movement to formal instruction. The curriculum includes strength and flexibility training, ballet technique, and focused additional training in adagio, extension, and jumps and turns. The Intermediate Training Division adds contemporary genres to core training, and the introduction of pre-pointe and pointe work. Students benefit from the mentorship of Master Ballet Academy's founders, leadership, and faculty.

CURRICULUM

A comprehensive training path in technique, artistry, and performance for serious young dancers.

CLASSICAL TECHNIQUE

Dancers master the technical precision, alignment, and coordination vital for advanced jumps, turns, adagio, and formal classical repertoire and variations.

CONTEMPORARY GENRES

Contemporary complements students’ classical training. Intermediate dancers must take a minimum of one contemporary offering per week. Students may also take additional contemporary genres offered in the Youth Program and Teen Academy.

MUSICALITY & ARTISTRY

Deepening the connection between movement and music. Intermediate students begin to explore artistic phrasing and the signature Vaganova style.

STUDIO ETIQUETTE

Fostering serious rehearsal habits and professional studio behavior. Discipline and focus are central to the environment.

PERFORMANCES & PRODUCTIONS

Students perform in Slawomir Wozniak’s original productions and classical repertoire, gaining stage experience and confidence.

Intermediate Schedule & Tuition

The Intermediate Training Division adds contemporary genres to core training, and the introduction of pre-pointe and pointe work. Weekly classes include strength and flexibility training, ballet technique, (Pre) Pointe, and focused additional training in adagio, extension, and jumps and turns.
